Minx Nails: The Green Alternative to Hot Nails

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months,  you know that Minx nails are the hottest new trend in manicures and pedicures.  Everyone, from Beyonce and Rhianna to the models on the high fashion runways, have been getting Minxed.  They are a flexible polymer that is heated then applied to your nails, like a sticker.  With Minx, you can achieve those true chrome colors that you cannot get with nail polish.  If you are a bit more daring, there are many different designs to chose from including flowers, leopard print, checkered, striped, zebra and almost any intricate pattern you can think of.

The greatest advantage about Minx for me is that there NO chemicals or unhealthy fumes used in the application or removal, making it the perfect green alternative to nail polish.  It is also smudge-proof and requires no drying time! I've also heard that while they may only last 3 to 10 days on your fingernails, they can last up to 3 or 4 weeks on your toes! You really can't beat hot nails that are convenient, low-maintenance and won't harm your health.

I intend to get minxed REAL soon and I will be sure to write a review.  Have you had a Minx experience?

  1. CUTENESS!

I'm SO out of the loop on these things, but I'd be willing to try it. I HATE chipped painted nails, so I tend not to get manicures, but if this would keep the paint on longer, I'd be willing to give it a whirl... is it expensive?

  2. Hey Denene! It is a little more than a regular manicure or pedicure. I think the prices start at about $45 depending on where you go.

  3. I've never heard of this either. Sounds pretty cool. You've got to write a review once you've tried it.

  4. Okay, I just crawled from under the rock last week when I saw a lady at the hair salon with them. They are definitely hot and on my TO-DO List!
