Alkalinizing Your Body

Making your body less acidic is a very important part of maintaining good health. To prevent disease from growing in your body and decrease inflammation you eat and drink more alkaline foods and drinks.  The risk of disease and inflammation  in the body dramatically increases when it is acidic. Foods and drinks such as coffee, alcohol, sugar, white flour, processed foods and meat can all increase your body's acidity.  You may start to have symptoms such as acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, stomach pains, arthritis and sinus colds, rashes and hives.

Any pH level below 7.4 is considered acidic. The lower you are, the more acidic your body is. You can test your body's pH by using pH testing kits, found at local pharmacies or health food stores. Want to know what exactly to consume more of to help alkalinize your body? A list of acidifying and alkaline foods can be found here.

I had chronic hives earlier this year for about 4 months and I could not figure out why. The doctors were unable to give me any answers either. It was beyond frustrating! I now believe that stress was the culprit.  Stress and worry can also cause your body to become acidic over time! I have had to learn some serious stress management techniques because nothing is worth risking my health. I also drink a cup of water with two tbsps. of apple cider vinegar every morning.  It is great for alkalinizing your body and has excellent cleansing properties.

  2. I have been recommending Purity 12 to my patients. I have personally seen the wonders and effects of Purity 12. After looking at what was in these products and trying them myself, I knew then that it would be a very effective and efficient way to help change the lives of my patients. I’ve personally tried them and experienced the change that it gave. I know my patients would agree because I would notice the difference in their glow and aura whenever they come back! Join Now!

  3. I love your blogs they are always so informative. Excuse my ignorance today but I would love an explanation because I'm slightly confused. How can drinking diluted apple cider vinegar,an acidic substance, help your body to become less acidic? Any information or sources would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Thanks ladies!!

@Nacala85- from what I understand natural apple cider vinegar is not extremely acidic. It has a pH of 5 to 7, meaning it is slightly acidic (water has a pH of 7). Here is a link with more info. http://www.homeremediesweb.com/apple_cider_vinegar_health_benefits.php

It is also on the list of alkalinizing foods. The link is in the blogpost.

  6. Hey Adjua!

Yes, it's 2 tbspoons per 8 oz. of water. You can put honey in it also to mask the taste.

  7. I started drinking ACV tea two days ago and plan to do it every day for the next 12 weeks. I'll let you know how it goes :-)

By the way, anyone interested in undertaking the ACV tea routine should use Bragg's organic ACV. I tried regular ACV and it made me extremely sick to my stomach :-(

    The Bragg's is much better.
