Breakfast Eats: Smoothie Recipe


In an attempt to eat more fruits and veggies every day, I've been making smoothies (especially in the mornings).  I noticed that I do not have much of an appetite in the mornings like I used to so, smoothies work perfectly for me before or after my workouts. They are very filling and give me the nutrition I need to get through a hectic day





Recipe:

1/2 bag of frozen blueberries
1/2 bag of Tropical smoothie blend frozen fruits (mango, strawberry, pineapple)
1 Vanilla Dannon Oikos greek yogurt
1/2 cup of almond milk
1 handful of raw spinach leaves

I put everything in my trusty blender and that's it--a healthy breakfast smoothie!  Sometimes I add a cup of apple juice for added sweetness or a few tablespoons of agave nectar.  After a workout, I add 1-2 scoops of whey protein powder.
