Happy Earth Day

source
Happy Earth Day! Today is a reminder for all of us to take a deeper look at what we can do to help save our home---the planet Earth.  Small, consistent changes everyday in our own communities can turn into big, major changes in our planet's well-being.

Here are some ideas on what you can do to celebrate Earth Day, or any day:

  • Get rid of the plastic grocery bags-- get a few reusable bags and leave them in your trunk for when you go to the grocery store.
  • No more paper towels-- According to the Paperless Project, there are more than 3,000 tons of paper towel waste each year.
  • Park your car-- instead of driving, try walking or riding a bike when you can. This will save on gas and the exhaust that your car may put out.
  • Enjoy the outdoors-- instead of watching television or sitting in front of a computer, get your fill of vitamin D by going to the park instead or going to your neighborhood bookstore.  Your electric bill will thank you!
I was able to get out today after work with my honey.  We went to a few places in our area just running errands and doing a little bike shopping.

What did you do to celebrate Earth Day?
