Jamaica, Jamaica

Hey loves!  About two weeks ago I headed off to Jamaica to see my grandfather be laid to rest.  Although he was sick and the family was bracing for this day, it seemed like it came all too quick.  It was harder than I thought and the entire week I was there was anything but relaxing.

I'll just say that from my experience at weddings and at funerals, people (specifically family) act all kinds of crazy!  I guess everyone's emotions are all over the place and underlying issues start coming to the surface. NOT FUN.

Anywho, I did get some time to enjoy the beautiful beaches and island food.  Next time, I hope to enjoy Jamaica under different circumstances. I will say God is good despite of everything.  I did not even see how I was going to be able to get the ends to book that ticket so last minute but, He worked it out better than I could have ever imagined. I received blessings on blessings just in time. I'm still amazed!

Next on my travel list is Turks and Caicos!  Where are y'all off to this summer?

  1. Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Girl, it's so true about family drama at these kind of functions. I'm such an empath, I've had to learn how to shield from the shenanigans.

Jamaica is my favorite. One day I hope to spend a few weeks there with my lil' family. Just chillin' in a cottage, swinging in a hammock. The airfare is the hardest part. We may do a cruise beforehand since that would be a quick and easy way to get someplace tropical.

We just got back from Wisconsin Dells. Not quite sure where we'll be headed next. I'm researching beach houses along Lake Michigan.
