UGH! My aching tooth!!

Anyone who has had a toothache knows that it is the absolute worst!! It takes away from my whole day because I cannot even function with this throbbing in my mouth.  I have been dealing with one (off and on) for the past two weeks.  I'm not really sure what the probably is because I go to the dentist pretty regularly (well....regularly enough..) and I floss and brush twice a day.

I do not have dental insurance right now so, I have just been praying that it is not anything serious and that it will just subside (wishful thinking, huh?)  I will probably have to just brace my pockets and make an appointment.  Until then, I have been trying to find natural remedies for toothaches.  I have used hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash, which helps sometimes but leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.

Other natural remedies that I have seen online include:
  • Clove oil
  • Vanilla extract
  • Whiskey
  • Peppermint tea leaves
  • Spirit of camphor
I have been reading about a lot of good results from the clove oil and vanilla extract.  I will try anything at this point!

What are some natural ways that you relieve a toothache?

  1. Act works the best for me. I have no ins. either so it's worth spending the extra bucks on otc stuff. The sonicare is the best toothbrush. It works wonders:) Feel better:)

  2. Sometimes breaking an aspirin and putting it on the tooth that hurts, helps. That meds are going directly to the source and not waiting to get through your blood stream.
