Ever since being introduced to yoga three years ago, I am HOOKED! I used to think that yoga was just all relaxation and meditation but, I was definitely mistaken. At the end of my yoga classes I felt like I got a real workout, complete with sweat and the whole nine! September is National Yoga month and I want to encourage everyone to try a yoga routine, or if you already are a 'yoga head', try a new form of yoga this month.
Yoga has great benefits for the body and mind, including:
- Lower blood pressure
- Decreased stress
- Greater flexibility
- Enhanced brain function
- Lower cholesterol
- Better skeletal alignment
- Strengthened bones/joints
- Improved respiration
- Weight Loss
- Enhanced circulation
- Deeper peace of mind
I've never tried yoga, always wanted to. I attempted pilates to tone up for Jamaica last year and it worked pretty well!

ReplyDeleteI want so badly to get into yoga...I need to find a studio to get into because trying solo just feels disastrous...I got into it last year though and its so amazingly clarifying. I miss it.
